I have been told by some people I have a remarkable memory. That may be true but I can't remember who told me that. Not really, I know who it was. I do have a good memory for facts, and trivia, like names of movie stars, movies when they were made, baseball stats, history, dates of really interesting days when something happened to me when a picture was taken, and things of that nature. But I can't always remember where I left my keys and I don't have a good memory for the names of some people I have met in a casual way. The last may be more of a lack of paying attention than a memory issue. I do forget some things, more than once, like where are my keys (didn’t I say that already?), what am I supposed to buy at Walmart. I don't suffer from amnesia and Deja vu at the same time, but on occasion, it feels like it.

The worst thing is that sometimes I forget the blessings of God. Those need to be remembered, and just what are some of them?

Life, breath, health, fellowship, love, from Him and from my family, Salvation, His Son, and we even have a good way to remember Him until he returns, The Lord's supper. We need to remember, he forgives us of all our iniquities, he heals us with his stripes, He saves us, and he loves us with the greatest love ever. God is our father, our friend, and our very present help in times of trouble. He is merciful and gracious. We must remember this and be thankful.

Psalm 103

Of David.

1 Praise the Lord, my soul;

all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

2 Praise the Lord, my soul,

and forget not all his benefits—

3 who forgives all your sins

and heals all your diseases,

4 who redeems your life from the pit

and crowns you with love and compassion,

5 who satisfies your desires with good things

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

6 The Lord works righteousness

and justice for all the oppressed.

7 He made known his ways to Moses,

his deeds to the people of Israel:

8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious,

slow to anger, abounding in love.

9 He will not always accuse,

nor will he harbor his anger forever;

10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve

or repay us according to our iniquities.
